English and Literary Studies

The Department of English and Literary Studies is one of the three newly created departments in 2023 after the split of the then Department of Languages of the Faculty of Humanities. Although the department is new, B. A. English programme has been there right from the inception of the University in 2012 under the defunct Department of Languages with seven sets of graduates including that of the 2022/2023 session. The Department currently offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in English Language and Literature.
